Standing Increases Your Ability To Lose Belly Fat
Recent studies on obesity by physiologists found that the act of sitting turns off the circulation of a fat-absorbing enzyme called lipase.
Lipase is defined as any enzyme which catalyzes the hydrolysis of fats into glycerol and fatty acids.
That simply means that it triggers the break down of fats into sugars and fatty acids. When it is shut off, these fatty acids and sugars are not absorbed.
When this occurs it can lead to diabetes, high cholesterol and increased body fat, including belly fat.
By standing up, you turn on this enzyme break-down process by engaging the muscles and promoting the distribution of lipases.
The body is then triggered to process fat and cholesterol, independent of the amount of time spent exercising.
So, if you can't exercise, don't have the time or choose not to for whatever reason, MAKE IT A POINT TO STAND!
This article is being typed on my computer which is sitting on a music stand. Believe it or not, I can tell the difference in the way my lower calves feel when I sit versus stand.
Moderate Exercise Helps You Lose Belly Fat
Even moderate exercise helps to reduce body fat and trim your belly. Some doctors suggest you should walk about 10,000 steps per day. That is about three 30 minute intervals on the treadmill at a very moderate pace.
However, if that is not possible then gather up a friend or two and walk around the neighborhood. Many schools have tracks that are very conducive to walking on a cool morning or afternoon.
But even if you are sitting, it doesn't mean that you cannot get some exercise. Search for exercises you can do in your chair to lose belly fat.
Lower Your Caloric Intake to Lose Belly Fat
If you are consuming large amounts of calories cut back. You will never lose weight if you are taking in more calories than you are burning.
You must burn off more than your intake. For example, if you are eating 2500 calories per day, then you must burn off 3000 calories to see some results. Or you could reduce the amount of caloric intake from 2500 to 2000.
DO THIS gradually until you reach a level which allows you to lose weight.
Reducing your caloric intake along with the exercise will give you greater results faster. It's not rocket science. The most important aspect of weight loss activities is that you do them. Take action. Start now if that is feasible.
